DAY 2
NEWS FLASH: 18U UPDATE DATELINE: WEDNESDAY 10 PM
Day 2 games were a mix of favorites coming out on top as well as some scattered upsets . . . Newcomers to Fletcher Baseball, South Florida Snappers (3-0-0), Del Ray Beach Mudhens (2-0-0)and Ohio Glaciers (2-0-1) all extended their undefeated streak . . . perennial favorite Seminole Baseball (2-0-0) also kept their undefeated record untarnished . . . The most surprising upset of the day happened to the long-time favorite, BigStix Gamers . . . the Gamers garnered a win as well as a rare 2nd loss today which dropped their Pool record to a surprising 1-2-0 . . . it now appears that they may not only need to win their game on Day 3, but they may need help from other opposing teams to be able to advance to the Championship Elimination bracket . . . Another surprise is that the Johnny Mac 18u team hasn't yet tallied a win . . . however, their 16u team is currently sitting undefeated in 1st place . . . And the South Florida Snappers (3-0-0) are the only undefeated team to have only 1 Pool game remaining, an 8:00am match-up against TSA of Illinois . . . Day 3 will definitely have an opportunity to shake up the final Pool standings as a pair of undefeated teams will match up head-to-head . . . starting at 8:00am the Seminole Baseball Club (2-0-0) hosts the Ohio Glaciers (2-0-1) in a battle of the unbeaten . . . A pair of winless teams will meet head-to-head at 1:30pm as the Strike One Sidewinders (0-2-0) visit the Johnny Mac Thunder team (0-2-0) . . . As it now stands, Day 3 shall conclude the 18u Pool Play and all 13 teams will have their seeding determined by the end of the day . . . the Top 8 seeds will advance into the Championship Double-Elimination Bracket, with the 9-13 seeds being placed into a Silver Single-Elimination Bracket . . .
