NEWS FLASH: 18U UPDATE DATELINE: THURSDAY 9 PM
Day 3 concluded our 2009 FBC Pool Play preliminary rounds for seeding the 13 18u teams into a Championship Double-Elimination Bracket and a Silver Round-Robin competition . . . The nearby Seminole Baseball Club slashed their way through their two games today shutting out their opponents 8-0 & 10-0 . . . The Seminoles were the 2008 FBC Champions and are looking to repeat again this year . . . But don't count out their opposition . . . the South Florida Snappers also completed pool play undefeated at 4-0-0 . . . in fact the top four seeds are all Florida-based, and with only 8 teams advancing into the Championship bracket the Ohio Glaciers, OH, (2-1-1), the BigStix Gamers of Georgia (2-2-0), and the TSA, IL, team are the only non-Florida teams remaining in the Championship Double-Elimination bracket . . . The remainder of the other 3 Florida-based teams in the 18u Championship Bracket finished are . . . Del Ray Beach Mudhens (3-1-0), West Florida Outlaws (3-1-0) and the Falcons Baseball Club (1-2-1) . . . Single-Elimination Bracket play finds the Johnny Mac Thunder (1-3-0) team from Missouri as the #9, the West Florida Hurricanes (1-3-1) are seeded 10th, the Georgia Eagles (1-3-0) are seeded 11th, the American National Eagles (1-3-0) currently hold the 12th seed position, with the 13th position filled by the Strike One Sidewinders (0-4-0) . . .
