Climbing Wall: An Introduction - This introduction to Climbing is the best way to become proficient on the basics of rock climbing. Once children master these techniques, The Fitness Zone will make arrangements to take children to a much higher wall.* Get started now on a lifetime of climbing fun!
Kid’s Yoga - Playful warm-ups, yoga postures and relaxation techniques offer fun ways to build strength, flexibility, coordination, body awareness, concentration, sense of calmness and relaxation.
Stability Ball - Improve total body strength, endurance, balance & flexibility while building "core" muscles.
Resistant and Agility (Speed) Training - Develop balance, speed and muscle toning by maneuvering through different "obstacles".
Kid's Aerobics - Favorite fast moving music will raise your heartbeat to increase stamina and endurance.
Yoga Teens - Fun, fast paced, high-energy yoga poses to top 40's music.
Balance and Core Class - Improve your balance and strengthen your abdominal & back muscles using stability balls, dyna discs, & other isometric exercise equipment.
Hip Hop Dance - Get movin' and groovin' & learn the latest Hip Hop dance moves your favorite stars use.
Introduction to Boxing - Learn balance, agility and quickness while you increase your confidence.
Tae Kwon Do - Learn values, respect of others and self-esteem while increasing your confidence. Class will include self defense techniques like blocks, kicks and strikes, as well as how to protect yourself.
Eating Healthy - Hands-on Cooking and Nutrition Class - A basic introduction to nutrition and healthy cooking ideas. Half the class will be spent in a classroom setting learning the basics of nutrition, hints for establishing healthy eating habits and reading product labels. The second half of the class will be a hands-on cooking experience. We will be making healthy snacks, fruit smoothies, and foods for "on the go".
Get Up and Move! - Exercise, Nutrition and Weight Management Class - emphasizing the basics of nutrition and healthy eating. Participants will learn how to keep a food journal, how our bodies burn calories and how to plan ahead for those special occasions. Half our time will be in a classroom setting, while the other half will be in the Fitness Zone learning the basics of combining exercise and nutrition for a healthy lifestyle.
Kid's Circuit Class - Tone every major body part & increase your heart rate.
Play Station Connection - Interactive Fitness Entertainment.
Interval Training - A true muscle workout. Build strong muscles and increase your body strength. A variety of equipment will be used such as tubes, steps, jump ropes and hoops.
