The
FITNESS ZONE is a wonderful, fun and
playful area designated to help kids achieve
their optimal fitness. As we begin to offer
children the chance to learn how to enjoy a
healthy and active lifestyle, we must stress
the importance of following the rules and
regulations set forth by management to
insure a safe workout environment.

REQUIRED:
SIGNED WAIVER
In order for your child to work out in The Fitness Zone, a waiver
must be filled
out and signed by the child’s parent or guardian. |
| |
| REQUIRED:
3 SESSION ORIENTATION PROGRAM
All children who participate in the Fitness Zone and the activities
within,
must attend a 3 session
orientation. This "introduction to fitness" will include
rules, etiquette and a complete A 2 Z list of what is offered. Orientation
serves
as a catalyst to kids who are looking to implement a positive health
and fitness
program into their life. While much of what we do will be fun in
nature, the
underlying significance will be to infuse the ingredients of a healthy
and active
lifestyle into the children so they can reap the benefits as they
get older. |

One pound of fat is equivalent to 3500 calories. The American
Cancer Society recommends that if you wish to lose one pound of
fat, you should decrease your daily intake by 250 calories (about
1 candy bar) and increase your exercise level to burn an additional
250 calories per day. This will equate to 3500 calories over
a 7 day period. |
