EVERY
DAY, kids make decisions that either to improve or impair their
health and fitness. This section is dedicated to those who are making
good decisions toward accomplishing good health and fitness
. . . |
We
learn from many different scenarios. The key to learning is finding
ways that work for you. One way children learn is from watching others
and then deciding if what they saw is something that is a good idea.
If we conclude what we saw is a good idea, then we find a way to imitate
the action. We do it when we are talking, dancing, playing a sport
or just exercising. |

Kids
will benefit for years as they learn about good posture at one of
the Fitness Zone's balance classes. This lesson helps children maintain
broad shoulders, upright torso and strong back muscles as they learn
how to sit upright while at their desks in school, at work and at
home. Kids learn how to do mild exercises while sitting to improve
circulation, maintain alertness and improve breathing. |

The
Fitness Zone will be promoting aerobic activities to strengthen
the heart and burn calories.
One way we remind children about the components of a successful
aerobic activity is to remember the word FIT.
